CARBONE POWER

New York City’s legendary Italian-American restaurant from Major Food Group’s Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick has arrived in Miami – with a Collins Avenue-long waitlist. Attracting more than just a Michelin star (we see you, Kendall, Gigi, Mariah, The Weekend…) it’s Miami’s must-eat, must-see (and be seen) spot. Craveable Italian comfort food favorites – Spicy Rigatoni bathed in a luxurious vodka sauce, the iconic Caesar ‘alla ZZ’ prepared table-side, decadent Lobster Fra Diavola, and succulent staples Chicken Scarpariello and Veal Parmesan pair well with the curated list of old school cocktail favorites. The Ken Fulk-designed space boasts Italian opulence and selected artworks from Julian Schnabel, Gus Van Sant, Harmony Korine and Robert Nava. Hoping to snag an “impossible” reservation? You know who to call.

SKY HIGH STYLE AT MILA

With alluring design, inventive fare and theatrical cocktails served tableside – Mila rooftop lounge and mixology bar rises above. Sexy zen garden meets catwalk chic, it’s a photographer (or Instagramer’s) dream. Enjoy creative ‘MediterrAsian’ cuisine, an artful combination of Japanese and Mediterranean flavor, including Chef Nicolas Mazier’s Fried Eggplant with zucchini chips and shiso tzatziki, ‘Shawarma’ Wagyu Gyoza with butter ponzu, and Tuna Tartare with roasted fennel-tofu aioli and avocado miso.  A list of exceptional libations was crafted by Jennifer Le Nechet and Mido Yahi, including nine more experiential cocktails, offered as part of the ‘V by Mila’ experience on the terrace. Time your visit for Mila’s sultry fire dancing or the sceney Sunday brunch. And, note: The olive oil cake makes for the first of the evening’s happy endings.
